Bobby English Jr. & Rachel Davis
present a zine exploring the essence of
language and communication.
Words are just placeholders that
act like symbols as we apply meaning to them.
In this way, words are innately empty vessels we
proejct and inject with intention.
Bobby created illustrations based off of Rachel's words. In this way, the artistic duo is exploring the innately personal, yet general aspect words occupy.
We all create our own meanings.
"But I had been used to words for a long time. I knew that that word was like the others: just a shape to fill a lack; that when the right time came, you wouldn't need a word for that any more than for pride or fear...." As I Lay Dying, William Faulkner
