José Lobo was born in Venezuela, raised in Brazil and currently living in Canada. Influenced by the folklore of the Venezuelan tonada and the rhythms of bossa nova, he continues to explore his identity as a Latin American in the diaspora through his songwriting.

Lobo has been traveling far and wide the past many years, he has performed in streets and stages across Europe, North Africa and the Americas.José made his USA debut when invited to sing alongside Diana Gameros and Maria Jose Montijo for the Immigrant Voices series in San Francisco, California. He is currently working in 2 singles to release during the fall of 2019.
