Welcome! Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative! 

Although the shop has operated under several different business models over the last 35+ years, we are currently a completely volunteer-run co-operative and sometimes things move slowly.  

We’re always looking for good folx to spend some time with us to:

- Help keep the doors to the shop open 7 days a week

- Help out with book releases, gallery openings, poetry nights, music nights, comedy nights, film nights, draw nights and so on- Help organize, price and shelve books

- Help out with book buys

- Help out at book fairs and other public events

New co-op members should also be over 18 years in age and have the ability to fully participate in our Adobe Books Slack Channel and attend our monthly co-op meetings. 

In the meantime, a great way to become involved is to come hang out at the shop, spend some time talking to other volunteers and observing the ebb and flow of the store.  The co-op meets at the shop on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm and you are also invited to join us then.
